Who we are

Essex Circus Academy provides aerial sling, hoop and silks classes to children and adults. We are based on Aviation Way, part of the Southend Airport Industrial Estate, which is very close to Southend, Eastwood and Rochford. Our 1 hour classes are structured with a progressive curriculum, teaching the foundations of aerial and enabling students to develop by learning more advanced skills, transitions and dynamic moves like spins, rolls and drops as their confidence builds.

In addition to our core timetable, we also run parties, workshops, open training, 1-2-1, 2-2-1, private small group classes, photoshoots, socials and more!

Adjacent to our main circus space is a waiting room / viewing area where parents can sit during classes. We also have a selection of books, a play kitchen and a kids table and chairs to help keep siblings entertained while they wait. Our main aerial space includes a purpose built 5m truss system with 4 rigging points on a 3:1 lifting system designed and installed by the fantastic Resolution Rigging. For additional safety, we have crash mats above the industry standard depth, which are used for all classes.

Our classes are SEND friendly and we also run learn together sessions which allow for those that need parental support for any reason, which might include anxiety and additional needs. Please contact us to discuss your child’s needs, what class would be most suitable and how we can support them!
